Antarctica.- In the photos taken on February 21, 2024, authorities are building their most modern facilities in Antarctica at the Petrel base. The National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) announced that it will install a fourth photovoltaic system in Antarctica. The fourth installation will be in a shelter located on Isla Vega, which is used for glaciology studies and was inaugurated last year. On the continent, the facilities that were set up at the Carlini and Marambio bases and at the Elefante refuge are already in operation and they plan to add more.

Buenos Aires, Argentina.- In the photos taken on January 17, 2024, workers from the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet) hold an "assembly and noise" at the Scientific Pole to denounce "dismissals" in the administrative sector. The organizations that represent researchers complain against the adjustment in the Council, which did not resolve to give the results of scholarships or promotions until the new budget is approved.
