The Chamber of Deputies rejected the request for a political trial against the highest authorities of the Executive Branch and the Minister of Finance, driven by sectors of the opposition. With 43 votes the project treated in extraordinary session was rejected. The request was promoted after the signing of an act with Brazil on the contracting of energy of the Binational Itaipu. When the document was canceled at the end of July, a group of deputies said there were no causes for political trial. The president of the Lower House, Pedro Alliana, had announced before the session that the request would be rejected and the same filed for a year. Alliana, as representative of the ANR Colorado Honor Bank, also indicated that they will work closely with the official bank to promote projects for the economic recovery of the country.
