Buenos Aires, Argentina - The photo shows the text of the Ley Bases. On Thursday, in a day with two committee plenary sessions, the ruling party managed to obtain a majority opinion for the Basic Law - popularly known as the Omnibus Law - with the incorporation of 16 articles referring to a labour reform and an opinion along the same lines as the tax reform. It is far from the first bill that was introduced at the end of December 2023 that will be dealt with on Monday. The retentions on different products were eliminated, the delegated powers went from 16 to 3 and a sharp cut in the number of state companies that the Casa Rosada seeks to privatise. So much so that, while the opinion of La Libertad Avanza was being debated, which was supported by the PRO, the UCR -but in dissidence-, and part of Hacemos Coalición Federal, the Banco Nación de la República Argentina was eliminated from the list of companies to be sold.
